Girls Are You Agree With This Plus Size Girl Ranting About Buying Bikini Issues Nowadays?
Sonny Turner became famous overnight as a stunning plus size model who works in London.
What made her famous overnight? The answer to this question lies in her attempt to bring awareness to a problem many women face when they try to find a cute bikini for their beautiful looking body.
Some just hate every second of bikini shopping, and for many girls the reason is pretty obvious.
Sonny Turner decided that enough is enough and the injustice must end, she wrote a rant that broke the internet on her own personal experience about how much it feels humiliating and how frustrated she gets when she is looking to buy plus size bikini.
Sonny is speaking in the name of many woman just like her acting as a voice for millions of girls who feel the same way.
Turner used social media as a platform to express how important it is to have a good and positive body image and that you need to feel comfortable in your own skin.
We hope more women will step up and join the fight for positive body image. This is a battle all women should unite in.
As a plus sized model Turner needs always to be looking as attractive as she can be, maintaining her healthy and beautiful looks, but unlike most models, she could not care less about the fact that she is not super skinny. Instead, she takes pride in her curves and thinks that the beauty standards are all twisted and nuts nowadays. In her opinion, girls are not supposed to be as skinny as a toothpick.
Turner works in a difficult industry that puts a lot of pressure to look the best as you possibly can according to today's standards.
Flat belly and no waist is almost mandatory, but it is not a look all girls can achieve, even if they work out and be on a healthy diet.
What is so crazy about it is the fact that MOST girls get almost no representation in the fashion industry even though the items you see a on a runway model will most likely not match the body frame of most girls. .
Turner wants to teach females the tricks of a "beautiful body pose" like the hourglass shape, but in the same time shows her true look, so girls will know that most beautiful bodies they see is made with the magic of angles and Photoshop.
"Look how i went from insta baddie to insta "FATTIE" real quick. ... In 0.5 seconds I can have the worshipped hourglass figure [but] I had to suck my stomach in, sit in an awkward position and angle my camera so I looked as though my waist was skinnier".
Turner is done with feeling bad for her natural womanly body, as she is proud to have large breasts, having hair on her body, and not having a tight belly. She does not let other people's judgement get to her, and sets her on beauty goals.
So now that we know her, we can just applaud, and listen to her recent rant.
Let's see the inspiring rant she had written from the bottom of her heart that made millions of women worldwide agree:
"Changing rooms can be scary places. I am wearing the largest size from one of the most popular high street stores sells in bikinis which is 12-14. High street store bikinis do not cater to women of my body type. Majority of online stores don't either. NO ONE GETS IT."
Its too bad no designer had thought about making the swimsuit that is matching this body type, and moreover that no online store used plus side models to help girls see if this is going to fit them.
There are some websites who do something close, by taking the same "one size" outfit and let different models wear it, but this is still a drop in an ocean of frustration.
This is what she had to say: "BIG BREASTS NEED UNDERWIRE FOR SUPPORT FOR A YOUTHFUL LIFT.WE NEED CUP SIZES THAT CORRELATE TO BRA SIZES AND THEY NEED TO GO PAST DD.WE NEED CUPS THAT ACTUALLY COVER MORE THAN OUR NIPPLE."
She added : "WE NEED CUPS THAT BRING OUR BOOBS TOGETHER SO THERE'S NOT A MASSIVE GAP IN-BETWEEN THEM.WE NEED STRAPS THAT AREN'T SO TIGHT ITS AS THOUGH OUR NECK IS ABOUT TO SNAP OFF.WE NEED BIKINI BOTTOMS THAT DON'T GIVE US WEDGIES WHEN WE WALK."
"WE NEED STRING BIKINIS THAT DON'T EXPOSE OUR VAGINA LIPS.WE NEED SWIMSUITS THAT FIT OVER OUR HIPS WITHOUT DRAGGING THE NECK OF THE COSTUME DOWN CAUSING NECK ACHE."
"WE DESERVE MORE CHOICE IN THE SELECTION FOR OUR BODY TYPE THAT ISN'T JUST THE GENERIC BLACK SWIMSUIT WITH A KIMONO.YES BELIEVE IT OR NOT, SOME OF US ACTUALLY WANT A THONG BIKINI, THE WHOLE SELECTION DOESN'T HAVE TO BE HIGHWAISTED."
"WE'RE GONNA NEED YOU TO STOP USING MODELS WITH FAKE BOOBS THAT AREN'T A REAL DEPICTION OF WHAT THE BRA WOULD LOOK LIKE ON OUR REAL DROOPY ONES."
"IT'S NOT FAIR THAT WE CAN'T WALK WEAR CUTE SWIMWEAR JUST BC WE ARE BUILT DIFFERENTLY. WE DESERVE TO WALK INTO A STORE AND PAY £10 FOR A NICE BIKINI WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK AND OUR BODY CONFIDENCE".
We could not agree more! Right?
Why does choosing a swimwear have to be such a struggle to begin with? There's a lot that can be done to fix this.
It is time for a change, for people to grasp the notion that girls are different from one another, and unique in their own specific ways. #everybodyisbeautful should skyrocket. As this concept is truly inspiring.
There should be a middle ground for girls to feel its fair for them to feel fit in the right size of items. How can one girl buy item in the same size from the same store and get a different type of size, when 2 becomes 4 atc.
Also, why do stores have different size standards, as it makes it impossible to understand that one size number is not the same as another store's same size number.
Its time for a real change, and not just rants. These are the modern times, where everyone should be equal in almost every aspect. letting women dress up in a way that makes them comfortable and makes them feel attractive at the same time is a goal that is possible to reach.
I hope her instaRants are gonna catch on, and her #everybodyisbeautfu movement will work, because society needs it to work. Lets see a different fashion industry mindset and new swimwear.
People should understand that different people also means different size of people.
I think women should be proud of this brave and beautiful model for stepping up and trying to make a change in the world.
FYI Turner is not alone in this body image change, as you can also follow Ruth Clemens, Milly Smith, and Courtney Harrough, these girls just like her try to change the beauty standard to a more modern one.
